What to expect: Reviving a 16th-Century Italian tradition, professional and amateur artists will create a chalk mural in the walkways of Oz Park to benefit Art Therapy Connection's work with children and teenagers. There will also be live entertainment from the likes of the Chicago Children's Choir and the Jesse White Tumblers.
Why to go: It's a chance to indulge your fantasies of becoming a famous artist...at least until the next rainfall.
Additional info: If you want to sponsor and decorate your own square, it'll cost you anywhere from $50 (for individual squares) to $5,000 (for the largest squares). Kids have special $10 spaces in Children's Avenue.
