| 1946 - Don Bodey was a wandering carpenter for many years, living in Florida, Oregon, Colorado, and New Mexico. He also taught school in Chicago. But it was his Army service in Vietnam that inspired his one novel, "F.N.G." Now working as a carpenter in his native Indiana, Bodey says that he traveled when he was younger "to avoid writing."
