Centerstage - Chicago's Original City Guide

Frances Cavanah influenced many young readers' understanding of American history through her contributions to World Book children's encyclopedias, anthologies, and textbooks, as well as the books she published on her own. Frequent topics included biographies of the presidents and other famous Americans. She was born in Indiana, attended DePauw University, and later moved to Chicago.
