| Famed author of over 250 TV scripts and series (including The Patty Duke Show, Hart to Hart, and I Dream of Jeannie), and bestselling novels (The Other Side of Midnight, Rage of Angels). Sheldon attended Northwestern for 6 months during the depression era, taking a full slate of classes while working as a hat checker at severeal Chicago hotels, debating with the NU varsity debate team, and working for the Daily Northwestern. Shortly, thereafter, he dropped out to help support his family, working initially as a movie usher in New York City. After a year of watching movies, he moved to Hollywood, where he got a $17/week job as a reader for Universal Studios. During this period, Sheldon and a friend wrote five stories, which later launched his career. The active 83-year-old Sheldon owns homes in Palm Springs, Los ANgeles, and Londonm is married to Alexandra Kostoff, and has a married daughter who is also an author.
