AlterEgos is comprised of musicians from a variety of backgrounds. The idea to create the band came from Sarah and Mel's desire to sing together. They met in 2001 while singing with the house band at Shadowbox Cabaret, a rock 'n' roll theatre in the Cincinnati area. Both Sarah and Mel moved to Chicago and began performing separately but continued singing together at every opportunity. Finally they found talented, hard working musicians: Mike, Jason and Tony and formed AlterEgos.
