| Chicago group formed by Delois Barrett Campbell and her younger sisters Billie and Rhodessa are known both for their music and their role in the 1981 documentary film, Say Amen, Somebody. Delois, born in Chicago in 1926, has an almost-operatic soprano voice that the late Mahalia Jackson says "opens up like a rose." Chicago Reader's critic Lee Hildebrand calls it "heavenly harmonizing."
