| Conceived in the sweltering month of June 2003, Catamount began with the union of three modest musicians - Jordan Schultz (guitar), Matt Schneider (guitar), and Edward Nudd (drums), all of whom possessed a very strong and extensive hard rock/heavy metal background. With a collective desire to create something unique, exciting, and unpredictable together, there was an undeniable musical chemistry right from the get-go - a chemistry that proved to be unwavering during the months that followed, as the three wrote, rehearsed, and performed at a feverish pace while they searched for a suitable bass player. In March of 2004, they finally found one in Jeff Wojtysiak, adding the final piece to a very complex, yet unified puzzle. Catamount began recording their first EP that following spring, settling on a small batch of songs from their live repertoire. The month of June 2004 saw the completion and release of "Seven Million Years Too Late," an exciting 4-song, 28 minute journey through a beautifully structured landscape of vast, yet decipherable, instrumental progressive metal. They are currently hard at work on their first full-length album, which is due out in the summer of 2005. For more information, visit their website: http://www.catamountmusic.com
