| Chicago Chamber Choir is partially supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program grant, a CityArts Program 1 grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the Elizabeth F. Cheney Foundation. CCC also thrives via the annual support of businesses and individuals. Founded in 1996, the CCC is a highly skilled choral ensemble of 37 singers under the artistic direction of Timm Adams. As part of their mission, the Chicago Chamber Choir actively seeks performance venues that bring music to individuals and groups often overlooked by the performing arts community. The choir has performed in Chicago's inner-city schools, retirement homes, and homeless shelters. The choir also believes fervently in the transformative power of music in the lives of children, and are especially interested in being an advocate for music education and supporting school choral programs that serve young singers in disadvantaged communities, and has offered its services to school benefit performances. CCC debuted at Ravinia in July 2005 with Fulcrum Point New Music Project (aired on WFMT radio). CCC has also participated in several City of Chicago programs such as Miles of Music and Sing On, Chicago. For more information, visit their website: http://www.chicagochamberchoir.org
