Curbside Life

Bassist Lenny Burnett and guitarist Mojo had been cultivating their sound since the late 1990's, while vocalist Free toured the Southland with independent label support. In early 2004 the three came together, two guitarists with their refined sound, and a singer with a rich voice and a genuine talent for writing songs. Jimmy Jenkins, a longtime friend of the Lenny/Mojo guitar duo, was handpicked to play drums and sing backup. Jenkins is a multi-instrumentalist with a natural talent for the studio who completes the band. Jenkins also lays down keyboard tracks for the ongoing demo project. Not easily categorized, their sound comes from the American tradition of acoustic oriented music and is wrapped in a melodic electronica which is reminiscent of the early Alternative era. Their epic sound is generating interest not only in music circles, but cinematic realms as well. This is a group of musicians who can craft a song. With recording sessions and mix down just about to wrap up, a dynamic CD is forthcoming.
