| Deconstructing Jim is Jeff Julian (voc/guitar), Matt Yeager (voc/bass), and Brennen Chouinard (drums) all of whom hail from Chicago's southwest area. The group is cutting its own path in the world of music inspired by groups like Led Zeppelin, David Gray, Tori Amos and Shiner. Founders Julian and Yeager are two lead singers that fuse political prose with statements on the state of society through songwriting that is still hard indie rock.
The musicians play tunes that end abruptly, rock melodies with verses that fold back on one another. They jam so hard that they get arm burns and break bass strings. In other words, Deconstructing Jim's delivery is ironically hard to deconstruct.
