| Hard working blueman plays 20+ gigs/month. A guitarist since the age of 15, Moss met Buddy Scott at a jam session at Rosa's Blues Longe, and soon was playing with Scott as part of Buddy's Rib Tip Band (for example, on Bad Ave.). He has also played with many of the city's other biggest names, including Zora Young, Charles Wilson, Lil' Smokey Smothers, Syl Johnson, Big Time Sarah, Barkin' Bill Smith, Lefty Dizz, Magic Slim, A.C. Reed, Billy Branch, and Little Mack Simmons.
Of Moss' Debut CD, The Joe Moss Band (212 Records), former WJKL producer Scott Hammer says: "Joe Moss is a rising star in Chicago's rich blues tradition. His passionate vocals are matched by his strong soulful guitar playing. His CD has received tremendous response. His live performances are legendary and he wins fans every time he plays."
Buddy Guy adds, "Joe Moss is one of our favorite bands at Legends. He is energetic, a strong guitarist, and always a crowd pleaser." For more information, visit their website: http://www.joemossband.com
