Moe Loves Myra

Moe Loves Myra brings an eclectic mix of Funk/Soul/Hip Hop/Rock to any event. Reminiscent of Sly Stone & 70‚s rock and invoking the images of Lenny Kravitz, this quintet are sure to have your "Soul High"."Soul High", the group's independently released first single is receiving "buzzworthy" acclaim throughout the underground. College radio programmers across the country have been receiving request for the single and this has lead to the group's "Schoolyard Skin" tour of mid-western universities this spring.

Moe Loves Myra unique sound is composed of equal parts belligerence and beauty, and mastered by guitarist Nigel Taunenbaum. Taunenbuam's lead guitar is a rocking mix of screaming sound and undeniable energy where punk and metal flourish. Combined with the subtly poignant lyrical musings of vocalist Omar Exodus, Moe Loves Myra bristles with dark aggressive textures and frenzied tones that lead to roof-raising tracks.

Moe Loves Myra members have been playing individually and with other acts for over ten years. Sprouting in November 2001, out of the rubble of three bands: The Ephnix, The Hot Shit and From Stone, Moe Loves Myra has quickly blossomed to become one of Chicago's most original underground bands.Having played several of Chicago's (and its suburbs) rock venues such as: The U.S. Beer Company (1801 N. Clybourn), The Cubby Bear (1059 W. Addison), Champs Rock Room (5728 W. 87th, Burbank), and Subterranean (2011 W. North Ave.), and performing over 20 original songs and covers from Duke Ellington to Bad Brains, Moe Loves Myra looks to rock any venue.
