| Tango group spawned from Flavor Channel (2 members), the flautist is one of their wives, and a bassist from Pinetop 7 (they've also played with Andrew Bird and Edith Frost), crosses the traditional latin music with the avant-garde. They recently released their debut CD, Tango Dogs, which includes a tune called -- smirk -- "Orquesta Maneuvers in the Dark." The Illinois Entertainer's review says, "Featuring flamenco guitar, accordion, flute, and sultry strings, the Orquestra's various instrumental musical compositions are simultaneously soothing and stirring, and altogether unusual, like a soundtrack for a cheerily psychedelic nature cartoon.
