| Composer and oboist is a founding member and co-artistic director of CUBE, and past president of American Women Composers Midwest. A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Morehead made her Carnegie Recital Hall debut in 1977, and has performed actively in Brazil, Canada, Europe, and in the US. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in composition at the University of Chicago (where she has studied with Raplh Shapel, John Eaton, and Shulamit Ran), and a professional lecturer in composition, theory, and oboe on the faculty of Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University. She also teaches at Columbia College and the Merit Music Program. She has had over 20 works written for her, and has premiered over thirty compositions.
