| Originally from Minnesota, Relative is resurfacing in Chicago, starting to play shows and a new CD late fall 2006... our live show speaks for itself... though we're not always sure of ourselves, communing with the folks who come to see us is what we live for... what is relative about?
A statement of humility based on a quest for knowledge. Beliefs, morals, right, wrong, the semantics of being... these are all culturally and socially relative. Different points of view are just that, different; which is to say we're not telling anyone else that they are wrong. To keep an open mind, an open heart is the most important. Learning is the key. There is no objective reality, no absolute morality. No religion, no government, no social system, no philosophy is absolutely right, only relative to the culture or system that it resides in. Nevertheless, a belief in the relativity of right and wrong is not a justification for apathy. The people and things we care about remain important. The belief in relativity is an avenue towards a more open minded, less judgmental process of learning. For more information, visit their website: http://wearethedead.com
