| Jazz guitarist has opened for well-known artists like Carly Simon, Jewel, and Steven Stills, and has been the leader of Navy Pier's jazz band, Pier Pressure, for the last three years. Stenten has a unique style which involves playing both necks of a double-necked 16-string guitar simultaneously, with a two-handed "tapping" style drawing on the legacy of Stanley Jordan and Michael Hedges. Stenten studied piano with Jack Hubble, and later studied with guitarist Bobby Broom, multi-instrumentalist Howard Levy, and pianist Laurence Hobgood.
