| Somewhere In Between began to take shape in the fall of 2000 when Miroslav Mihailovic (Guitar), T.J. Kanczuzewski (Keyboards), Brian Simpson (Guitar), and Tony Tabor (Drums) met at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. Late night jam sessions proved that they all shared a common musical vision. Soon after, Joe Tabor (bass) was brought onboard by his brother Tony to fill the role of bassist. By January of 2001 the band was in full swing, composing and rehearsing a myriad of original songs, and playing out steadily in the Chicago music scene. In search of new experiences and opportunities, the band relocated to San Francisco, CA, where they honed their songwriting skills, and continued to play out. The band returned to Chicago in January of 2002. Along with them they brought the songs that would eventually make up their first album. After three months of intense recording and playing out, things were beginning to come together for the band, and shortly after they released their first full-length studio recording, "Gone Again". The fall of 2002 brought about some changes for the band. Guitarist and Vocalist Brian Simpson decided to part ways with the band in order to pursue new musical ventures. Faced with the challenge of replacing a founding member, they turned to some old friends to fill the void. Percussionist Mike Usteun and harmonica player Nick Kovach soon joined, completing the lineup. (Somewhere In Between) For more information, visit their website: http://www.somewhereinbetween.org
