| Soulio is a funky acoustic jazz quintet that serves up fun, accessible tunes in the tradition of soul-jazz pioneers like Cannonball Adderley, Grant Green and Lee Morgan. Led by trombonist Johnny "Showtime" Janowiak (formerly of Liquid Soul), the lineup typically includes saxophonist Matt Shevitz, guitarist Jay Montana, bassist Greg Nergaard and drummer Dan Leali (from the Fareed Haque Group, Blue Man Group and formerly of Liquid Soul). Soulio's soulful improvisations are commonly heard at such venues as Katerina's and Pete Miller's Steakhouse.
