| Chicago-born alto saxophonist released a double CD, Genesis & the Opening of the Way on RCA Victor during 1998, the second disk recorded with his usual band Five Elements, and the second with twenty or so musicians including fellow horn players Greg Osby, George Lewis, Josh Roseman, and Ravi Coltrane. The Chicago Reader's Peter Margasak picked it as one of his top ten albums of the year.
