Suzy Brack

Chicago songstress Suzy Brack has been selected by VH1 as one of the ten finalists in their national "Divas" competition.

As the former lead singer of the Mystechs, Suzy recently debuted her new band Suzy Brack & The New Jack Lords at Chicago's Metro for the 5th annual WXRT and Neo-Futurists event, "30 Girl Bands in 60 Minutes". A review in the Chicago Tribune mentions ..."the splashy solo debut of gifted vocalist Suzy Brack (late of fey electronic poppers the Mystechs) — a "Hawaii Five-O" parody/homage to the Neo-Futurists by Brack and her band the New Jack Lords..."

Suzy has toured and recorded with musical acts as diverse as the art-folk of Tautologic and the swing jazz of Yves Francois. Her most recent screen acting credits include Slave (2002) an independent feature film by writer/director Noel Olken. With a voice befitting the Diva appellation, Suzy is known to tailor her performances both in style and costume.

The "Are You Diva Enough?" competition coincides with the "VH1 Divas Duets: A Benefit Concert for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation" which aired live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Chaka Khan, Beyonce, Lisa Marie Presley, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mary J. Blige, Jewel, Ashanti and Stevie Wonder joined host Queen Latifah for the 5th annual event.
