This Chicago pop foursome with catchy melodies and great female harmonies recently released a new CD Start, mostly recorded at Kingsize Studios. Guitarist Gregory teaches first grade at the University of Chicago Lab School and played a corpse in the movie Blink. Bassist Laura Eason is the artistic director of the Lookingglass Theatre Company. They are both NU graduates and founding members of Lookingglass. She and Gregory will also be in a dark Mirimax comedy about a 10-year high school reunion scheduled to be shot this summer at the Bismark Hotel. Drummer Michael Sankowski works on the Mercantile Exchange floor. Rick Karr is a reporter and engineer for National Public Radio.
Their previous releases include Lunch Box Style Disaster (Sweet Pea), a 4-song EP recorded with original drummer Michael Lenzi (now of Number One Cup). While their recordings are simply arranged and sedate, many of their live shows are down'n'dirty. Lyrics are whimsical, too, as in "Shut Up" ("You have to prove you went to school/ Shut up/ Shut up/ Shut up").
