The Year After is a radio-anthem rock band from Chicago performing throughout midwest in support of their newest release The Way To Get Around It.
In their hometown, they've held sold-out concerts at many venues and opened for national acts at House of Blues and Double Door. The band has also been featured by several radio stations including regular rotation on Q101's Local 101(WKQRX). Additionally, The Year After was nominated as a finalist in MTVu and Epic Records' Best Music On Campus competition from over a pool of over 600 national contestants.
Their story began when the band members moved into an apartment in Chicago and started collaborating with producer Chuck Gladfelter (Dovetail Joint, AbsentStar). Long hours spent writing led to the 2005 EP “At Risk of Shipwreck" and in 2006, the release of the full length album “The Way To Get Around It.”
