| Multi-piece funk band fronted at any given time by one to three men and/or a woman. Unlike most funk bands, however, Uptighty mixes in a wide variety of instruments to create an almost unique sound. If you're expecting Sly or George Clinton, you'll be disappointed, but for who they are (not Sly or Parliament), Uptighty does a damn good job of producing a solid, fat, fun sound. And true to the funk syle, they're all a bit wierd - sunglasses on stage, oversized plastic fingers and so on.
