Velvet Jones

Velvet Jones combines the forces of singer/songwriter Stevie D., Los Angeles drummer Keith Howard, bassist Jeff Malas and New York guitarist David Cannon to produce a hard-driving, straightforward brand of rock 'n' roll. When Stevie D. was 18, the Chicago native moved to L.A. where he met Howard and absorbed himself in the soulful and refined rock scene. Songs such as "Confess" and "Sometimes" are anthems best suited for play on ROCK 103.5, and in fact the band performed one morning on Mancow's Morning Madhouse. Their sound could be compared to a band such as Faith No More. Addictive guitar licks via Cannon give this band the hook necessary to catch a crowd, while Stevie creates an enormous stage presence with his powerful vocals. You might have seen Velvet Jones at Schuba's, Morseland, the Metro or the Dome Room, among other venues.
