Though it was renamed U.S. Cellular Field in 2003, the White Sox stadium is most-commonly referred to as Comiskey Park by fans and foes alike. The new park, initially and simply called "New Comiskey," opened 1991 with a high-tech scoreboard, traditional facade and 40,000 plus seats.

During its first season, the new field brought a club record of fans in attendance. While there's a lack of activity in area surrounding the park (though, admittedly, it's growing), the South Side rallies around its team and its park. White Sox home games are known to be rowdy, festive affairs. So bring your peanuts and cracker jacks (and your loudest cheering voice) and root for one of Chicago's (winning) home teams.
