McFetridge Sports Center (MCF) is a great place to play during any season. It is home to the Chicago Park District's only indoor ice rink (NHL-size) and indoor tennis courts (six, to be precise) as well as a ton of other amenities, including a fitness center, Illinois' first wheelchair baseball field and four outdoor basketball courts. Take advantage of the snack shop, tennis pro shop, ice skate rental shop and locker rooms, too.

Admission for skating: $4 children; $5 adults; $3 skate rental. Open September-July.
