Recommended a "Must See" Show

Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere," the tale of a mild-mannered schlub who gets drawn into the secret, subway-centered underworld of London, has already been a TV movie, a book and a comic book. With the new Actor's Gymnasium adaptation, it finally becomes an off-Loop play. Unfortunately, although portraying Gaiman's London Below with circus arts is a good idea, the execution is haphazard. The Actor's Gymnasium is primarily a training center, and no-one is going to mistake this for anything other than a student production. As such, its charm is limited by your patience and understanding. Rabid "Neverwhere" fans be warned: the story is not so much adapted as decapitated.
