| The Genesius Guild now entering its eighteenth season received the coveted Best Musical Award in 1996 from the Foundation for Excellence in Theatre of Northwest Indiana for their production of "The Secret Garden" and Best Scenic Design for "Noises Off." Brigadoon, produced in 1997, received the award for Best Lighting. In 1998 our production of "Anything Goes" gamered 3 awards including Best Principal Actress, Best Choreography and Best Music Director. In 1999 we received Best Principal Actress and Music Director for "City of Angels" and Best Choreography for "Fame." In 2000 we received Best Musical Director and Vocal Director for "Children of Eden," and in 2001 we received Best Choreography and Best Costumes for "Once On This Island," Best Featured Actress for "Damn Yankees," and Best Costumes for "Dear Ruth."
