Illinois Film Office

It's their job to attract outside filmmakers into the state as well as keep local filmmakers happy, and the IFO team try their damnedest. Annually, the Illinois Film Office puts out a "Film Guide Book" which lists every Chicago and Illinois film/video resource in the city. Check it out online: http://www.filmillinois.state.il.us

Also make an appointment with one of their representatives who'll help you find the perfect location for your film or will refer you to their local affiliate, The Chicago Film Office. The IFO also co-sponsors with the CFO the biannual I/C Screenwriting Competition. The competition requires feature film submissions from Illinois residents only and 75% of the script must be set in Illinois.
